Google Ads That Result in Calls

Google Ads and Local Service Ads managed to produce real phone calls, not impressions and clicks you can't do anything with. You own the account, we charge a flat fee, and every lead gets tracked so you know what your money bought.

Google Ads and Local Service Ads producing calls for a local business

SEO takes months. Ads take about a week.

That's the whole case for paid search. Organic rankings are the better long-term investment, and they're also the slower one. Ads put you in front of somebody who is looking for what you do right now, today, while the organic work builds underneath.

The catch is that ads are also the fastest way to waste money. An account left on autopilot will happily spend your budget on people who were never going to hire you: the wrong searches, the wrong towns, the tire kickers, and the competitors clicking your ad to see what you charge. Managing that is most of the job.

Which is why we work backward from the only number that matters: what a customer costs you, and what that customer is worth. A $40 lead is expensive for a business doing $200 jobs and a bargain for one doing $9,000 roof replacements. Once we know your close rate and your average job value, we can tell you what you can afford to pay for a call and still come out ahead. Everything after that is arithmetic.

That's also the honest test of whether we're worth keeping. If the ads and our fee together cost more than the work they bring in, the account isn't working, and we'd rather find that out in month two than let it ride.

Return on investment from a managed Google Ads budget

What we run.

Which of these makes sense depends on your business. We'll tell you honestly if one of them isn't worth your money.

Local Service Ads

The listings that sit above everything else, including the regular ads, with the Google Guaranteed badge next to them. You pay per lead rather than per click. For most home service businesses this is the highest-intent traffic Google sells.

Google Ads search campaigns

Text ads on the searches that matter, with negative keyword lists that keep you out of the ones that don't. Tight geographic targeting, ad copy written to pre-qualify, and landing pages that match what the ad promised.

Performance Max

Google's automated campaign type that reaches across Search, Maps, YouTube, Display, and Gmail from one budget. Powerful when it's fed the right signals and guardrails, and a money pit when it isn't.

Remarketing

Most people don't call the first time they visit. Remarketing puts you back in front of the ones who already showed interest, which is almost always cheaper than finding somebody new.

We'll get you through the Google Guaranteed process.

Local Service Ads sit at the very top of the results, and the green checkmark next to your name is the reason people tap them. Getting that badge means clearing Google's screening: license verification, insurance, and background checks on the business and, depending on your trade, the people who work for you.

It's paperwork, it's tedious, and plenty of businesses start it and give up halfway through. We handle it, chase what's missing, and keep it current so the badge doesn't quietly lapse a year from now.

Google Guaranteed
  • License and insurance verification handled for you
  • Background check process managed start to finish
  • Business profile and service categories set up correctly
  • Budget and lead targets configured to your capacity
  • Disputed leads reviewed and credited back where they qualify
  • Badge kept current so it doesn't lapse without warning

How we work, in plain terms.

You own the account

Your ad account is yours, in your name, with your billing. We work inside it. If you ever leave, you keep the account, the history, and everything we learned in it. Some agencies run your ads from their own account, which means their data and their leverage. That's not an arrangement we're interested in.

Flat management fee

We charge a flat monthly fee for management and support. Your ad budget is separate and paid straight to Google. That matters more than it sounds: agencies who take a percentage of spend get paid more when you spend more, whether or not it worked. Our fee doesn't move, so there's no reason for us to talk you into a bigger budget than the job needs.

Everything gets tracked

Call tracking and conversion tracking are set up before a single ad runs. Which campaign, which keyword, which ad produced the call. Without that you're guessing, and guessing is how budgets get spent on the wrong half of the account for a year.

Where the clicks land matters

An ad is only as good as the page behind it. We watch what visitors do after the click, using heatmaps, session recordings, and A/B testing, and fix the pages that take your money and give nothing back. Cheaper clicks are nice. A page that converts twice as well is worth more.

Reporting you can read

Monthly and quarterly reporting in plain language, tied to leads and what each one cost, plus strategy meetings to talk through what's working and what we're changing.

Questions we get asked a lot.

Straight answers. If yours isn't here, ask us on the call.

How much should I spend on ads?

It depends on your market, your trade, and how many jobs you can actually handle. A one-truck operation in a small service area needs a very different number than a company with six crews. What we won't do is push you toward a bigger budget than the work requires, because our fee doesn't go up when your spend does.

We'd rather start smaller, prove it produces calls, and scale from there than have you spend three months' budget finding out.

Who owns the ad account?

You do. It's in your name with your billing, and we work inside it. If we part ways, you keep the account and all of its history, which is the part that actually has value after a year of data.

Ask any agency this question before you sign. If the account is theirs, everything you paid to learn leaves with them.

How are you paid?

A flat monthly fee for management and support. Your ad budget is separate and goes directly to Google, so you can see exactly what was spent on ads and exactly what was spent on us.

We don't take a percentage of spend. That model quietly rewards an agency for talking you into spending more, whether it worked or not.

What's the difference between Local Service Ads and Google Ads?

Local Service Ads sit at the very top of the page with the Google Guaranteed badge, and you pay per lead rather than per click. Google Ads are the text ads below them, where you pay per click and have far more control over targeting, messaging, and where people land.

Most home service businesses do best running both. LSA catches the highest-intent searches, Google Ads covers everything LSA can't target.

Do you handle the Google Guaranteed application?

Yes. License verification, insurance, and the background check process, start to finish. It's tedious paperwork and a common place businesses stall out. We also keep it current, because the badge can lapse quietly and you'd rather not find out from a drop in calls.

How soon will I see leads?

Faster than SEO. Once tracking and campaigns are set up, ads can start showing within days. The first few weeks are learning: which searches convert, which ones waste money, and what a lead actually costs you. Expect the account to get more efficient month over month rather than being at its best on day one.

Can you take over an account someone else set up?

Usually, and there's often a lot to fix. We'll audit what's there, show you where the money has been going, and tell you honestly whether it's worth restructuring or starting clean. Either way you keep the account and the history.

Am I locked into a contract?

There's a service agreement that spells out what's included and covers the legal ends, and you want one. What it isn't is a lock-in. Management runs month to month.

Let's find out what a lead should cost you.

Give us a call or book a Zoom. We'll look at what you're spending now, what your competitors are bidding on, and whether ads are even the right move for your business right now.
