Hacked, or making sure you never are?
Either way, you're in the right place: emergency malware removal, Google blacklist recovery, and the hardening that keeps trouble out in the first place. If your site is compromised right now, skip the reading and call (571) 358-9326.
A hacked site doesn't just look bad. It disappears.
Here's what an attack actually costs: browsers throw a red warning screen in front of your homepage, Google flags or drops your listings, your emails start landing in spam, and every visitor who sees any of it remembers. And here's the part most owners don't know: small businesses aren't targeted by masterminds; they're swept up by bots scanning thousands of sites a day for known holes in outdated software. Which is good news, in a way, because it means staying patched, hardened, and watched takes you off the easy-target list almost entirely. And if you're already hit: it's recoverable. We clean it, restore it, and harden it so it doesn't happen twice.
What our security work covers
Most attacks are robots. Don't be the unlocked door.
Automated attacks don't pick victims; they pick openings. Bots probe thousands of sites a day for the same known weaknesses, outdated software, weak logins, loose permissions, and move on the moment a door is locked. Keeping yours locked is mostly discipline: patched, hardened, monitored, backed up. We supply the discipline.
For protection that never lapses, security is built into our Website Management plan, watched month after month.
Aleto Construction Group
Security is the invisible half of every build. Aleto's site has been in our hands since launch, hardened, monitored, and kept current, and in Jaime Weyrauch's words, we're "quick to help with any issues that arise." The best issues are the ones that never do.
Questions we hear about security.
How do I know if my website has been hacked?
The common signs: browser warnings before your site loads, "this site may be hacked" under your Google listing, strange pages or spam links you didn't create, visitors redirected somewhere else, your emails suddenly bouncing or landing in spam, or your host suspending the account. Any one of those, get it checked immediately.
My site was hacked. What should I do first?
Don't start deleting things; evidence of how they got in is what prevents round two. Change your passwords, then call us at (571) 358-9326. We isolate the site, clean the infection, restore from a clean state, and harden it, and you get a plain-English report of what happened.
Will Google's warning about my site go away?
Yes, once the site is genuinely clean. We finish the cleanup, then submit review requests to Google and the security blacklists; warnings typically clear within days of approval. What doesn't work is requesting review before the infection is fully gone, which is how sites get stuck flagged for weeks.
Why was my small business website attacked?
Almost certainly nothing personal: the overwhelming majority of small-site hacks are automated bots scanning for known vulnerabilities in outdated software and weak logins. Your site wasn't chosen; it was found open. The fix is the same either way: patch, harden, monitor.
Can you keep it from happening again?
That's the entire second half of the job. Every cleanup ends with hardening, and ongoing protection, updates, scanning, monitoring, backups, is built into our Website Management plan, so the watching never stops.
Make your site a hard target.
